HARVEST MOON

In Japan, the rabbit lives on the moon. For the harvest moon of late September, tables are set with rabbits, pampas grass and a little gold. Porcelain from Hasami and Mino, and hand-sewn chirimen ornaments from Kyoto.

GOLDEN HOUR

Gold, black and vermilion for the table. Lacquered half-moon trays, gilded Imari-style plates and small gold-rimmed pieces from Arita, for evenings that deserve a little drama.

  • Duties included

What you see is what you pay. US import duties are built into every price, so nothing is added at your door.

  • Shipped from Tokyo

Every order leaves our Tokyo office by EMS, tracked door to door, typically in 5–10 days.

  • Packed for porcelain

Each piece is wrapped by hand for the journey. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

FIRST BLOOM

Cherry blossom, plum and soft pink porcelain from Hasami and Arita. Small pieces that bring spring to the table, one dish at a time.

GOOD FORTUNE

Auspicious knots, deer among peonies, plum and chrysanthemum. The motifs Japanese families set out for luck, painted on Kutani and Arita porcelain. Pieces made to celebrate, and to be given.

MATCHA BOWL

Bowls made for whisking matcha: wide enough for the whisk, thick enough to hold warmth, thrown and glazed by hand in Kyoto, Bizen and Mino. Each one is a single piece, so the glaze you see is the glaze you get.

YUWEN

YUWEN is the overseas house of FOURGRACE, a Tokyo tableware brand followed by 230,000 people in Japan. We choose pieces from Arita, Hasami, Kutani and Kyoto that carry the seasons to the table, and send them to you the way we would set our own.
